Our philosophy is to buy properties located within ultra-premiere, highly sought-after neighborhoods, at a price that offers a margin of safety against market fluctuations.
If we are going to acquire or develop a new asset, The Investment must pass three (3) basic tests for us:
1. The idea/investment must be big enough to justify devoting our life to it. It must have the potential to be HUGE.
2. It must be unique. Without this factor, we are likely wasting our time. Afterall, Scarcity = Demand.
3. The timing must be right. We must remind ourselves that the world doesn’t like pioneers. If we are too early, our risk of failure is high. If we’re too late, we run the risk of a multitude of negative risk factors.
Walker Molinare is the Founder and Chief Visionary Officer of Elysian, driving the company's hyper-unique approach to real estate investing and operations. In his role, Walker oversees all acquisitions, equity raising, and debt structuring, while managing its various operations and ensuring that Elysian's business interactions are adequately supported for success. His extensive background includes over 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry.
Previously, Walker led PRIME Real Estate Investors, acting as a Sponsor for numerous multi-family projects, commercial office buildings, retail centers, and mixed-use entities. This multifaceted experience has endowed him with comprehensive expertise in real estate investment, management, construction, and related services. Walker's current focus includes multi-family development and repositioning, as well as the acquisition and redevelopment of uniquely positioned hospitality and mixed-use properties, ensuring that each project offers genuine long-term value to Elysian's investors.
Committed to the continued development of the Elysian team, Walker collaborates closely with the Executive Leadership Team to foster a human-centric approach to business, encompassing employee engagement, its hyper-unique customer experience, and Elysian's overall corporate strategy. His 10 years of experience in coaching, communication, and human development potential contribute significantly to this effort.
Walker holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance & Marketing from the Nelson Rusche College of Business at Stephen F. Austin University and a Masters in Real Estate from the Baker Program of Real Estate at Cornell University.
Peggie Armstrong holds the positions of C.F.O. & Chief Integration Officer at ELYSIAN. In these roles, her responsibilities encompass the oversight of all accounting matters, as well as the development, execution, and oversight of the company's structural foundation, aiming to establish a seamless and efficient operational process. She brings to her role over two decades of experience in business accounting and management across diverse industries. This wealth of experience underscores her versatility and comprehensive understanding of various business landscapes. Peggie has consistently showcased her proficiency in optimizing business operations for heightened efficiency, increasing overall profitability, and spearheading the creation of entirely new business structures from the ground up.
Peggie has a Bachelor degree in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin.
Don McGraw serves as the Chief Investment Officer of Elysian, bringing with him a dynamic blend of financial expertise, strategic vision, and a passion for creating value. In his role, Don oversees all aspects of investor relations and capital raising, leveraging over two decades of experience in the financial industry to fuel Elysian's growth and success. Don's career has been marked by an unwavering dedication to raising capital and investing in commercial real estate, as well as other alternative assets. Since 2005, he has built a reputation for identifying lucrative opportunities, cultivating relationships with investors, and delivering exceptional returns. Don's ability to navigate the complexities of the real estate market has been instrumental in securing substantial growth for his clients.
During his tenure leading the business development team at SCI Real Estate Investments, Don oversaw a tripling of client accounts and revenue, while providing capital for over $3.5 billion in Class A retail and multifamily acquisitions. His thought leadership on debt crowdfunding and self-directed retirement investing has been highlighted by prestigious publications, including the Wall Street Journal, Savannah Morning News, The Houston Business Journal, and Realtor.com.
Beyond his professional achievements, Don has also made his mark as an accomplished lacrosse coach, earning the Coach of the Year award at Bridgeland High School in Cypress, Texas, and taking Oxford University (UK) to the national semifinals. In a gesture of gratitude to the sport, Don and his family have endowed the Arthur C. Heaton Women's Lacrosse Scholarship at the University of California.
Originally from Houston, Don recently returned to Texas from London, accompanied by his wife and their two-year-old daughter.
He is a graduate of Hunter College in New York City, and also attended the Haas School of Business at the University of California, further enriching his extensive knowledge and expertise.
Sophia Gonzalez is the new Chief Experience Officer at Elysian, where she will oversee the delivery of the company's unique, experience-driven initiatives across all properties.
Sophia's diverse background spans multiple industries, showcasing her versatility and commitment to excellence. With a passion for creating memorable guest experiences, Sophia joins Elysian from her recent role at Hotel Saint Cecilia, where she excelled in enhancing guest satisfaction and curating bespoke experiences.
In addition to her hospitality expertise, Sophia is a passionate proponent of the creative arts. Her previous roles at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, The Broad, Houston Arts Alliance, and various museums have enriched her understanding of cultural engagement and visitor experience. This unique blend of hospitality, arts, and leadership positions her perfectly to deliver the "Elysian Experience," creating unparalleled moments for guests and tenants.

Derek DeJoe is an Associate at Elysian, where he supports the company in all investment-related endeavors, leveraging his strong work ethic, commitment to excellence, and extensive network to excel in his role.
Derek's impressive background sets him apart. He came to Austin in 2016 after a standout career as a D1 starting midfielder at Syracuse University he helped lead the team to a NCAA National Championship in 2013 and back-to-back ACC Championships in 2015 & 2016. Following his graduation, Derek played professional Major League Lacrosse (MLL) for the Rochester Rattlers and Ohio Machine, culminating in a 2017 MLL Championship with the Ohio Machine. From 2016 to 2024 he has had a passion for giving back to the Texas lacrosse community. He has coached youth lacrosse and three Texas high school varsity lacrosse programs, guiding them all to outstanding state rankings. As the current Lake Travis HS head coach, he was named 2024 US Lacrosse Coach of the Year. His leadership on and off the field underscores his dedication, strategic thinking, and ability to inspire and achieve excellence.
